Four Winds
Mrs. Brown and Ms. Rebecca are our wonderful Four Winds teachers. In October, we learned about dirt and worms.
Big Partner pumpkins
We made pumpkin glyphs with our big partners. We chose the design for our pumpkin based on our answers to questions.
We had a visitor today 11/4/15
We had a visit from Carolyn Knight, a member of the Bristol Rescue Squad. She gave us a tour of an ambulance and showed us all of the closets and equipment. She told us that if we ever have to ride in an ambulance, it is less scary if we ask questions so we know what is going on.
Visit to the firehouse
As part of our Wellness class, we had the chance to visit the Bristol fire station with Mrs. Wisell. We learned all about how to be safe and what equipment firefighters use.
Our visit to Lester Farm
On Monday, October 26, the Kindergarten classes went to visit Lester Farm in New Haven.
We got to go on a hay ride, solve a crossword puzzle in the corn maze and choose a pumpkin to take home to our family.
Our spider party
On Friday, October 30, we celebrated the end of our Eric Carle unit with a Very Busy Spider party.
We began our day with a fun whole Kindergarten morning meeting and large spiderweb greeting. We did spider math with ten frames and made spider hats.
In the afternoon, we had our celebration. We created yummy brownie spiders, made thumbprint spider books, a spider web and a number 8 spider. It was so much fun!
