Four Winds Fun!
We had an awesome visit from Mrs.Brown and Miss Rebecca today for Four Winds. We learned about how animals stay warm in the winter. We intently watched a puppet show about mice and other animals. Then we did an awesome Science experiment. We had 4 jars of hot water (99 degrees). We used different materials to insulate the jars and had one control jar that we did not insulate. We made a hypothesis or prediction that the woolwould keep the water the warmest - we thought it would be the wool. It turned out to be the feathers -the water in that jar was 84.2 degrees. Then we found some awesome animal tracks in the snow and played a really fun matching game to learn what some animals do in the winter to stay warm. It was an awesome science exploration time!
