Talent show and fairy wings

We enjoyed some time with our big partners this morning and then got to see some of them perform in the talent show. Here is Joe playing his bassoon.

This friend made herself some fairy wings at choice time.

Grandfriends day!

Some of us had guests for lunch today. We enjoyed eating chicken parmigiana, pasta and yummy carrot cake. Then they joined us at recess. What a special day!

Visitors

Today my daughter Amanda and her boyfriend Diego came to visit our classroom. They danced with us, helped us with our research and enjoyed choice time.

Dance party!

We filled our button jar and had a dance party today. It was so much fun!

Fine Arts Festival day 2

We began our day learning about and playing Taiko drums with Stewart from Burlington Taiko. Then we watched a performance. We enjoyed a picnic lunch and some recess among the dandelions. Our last stop was the planetarium. Another awesome day!

The Fine Arts Festival

We had a great time finding our art at the Fine Arts Festival. We were really impressed with some of the other art - our favorites were the ceramic food.

Our next stop was the auditorium for a puppet show from the Bread and Puppet performers.

We also really enjoyed riding on the bus!

We love our big partners

We got to spend some time coloring Mother's Day pictures with our big partners this morning. We posed for awesome pictures.

A special treat for mom

We worked hard to plant some salvia for our moms. We used what we learned in Four Winds and decided to reduce, reuse and recycle by planting in a milk carton that we decorated. They look great and we think our moms will love them!

Then, we made some cards for our moms.

Green up day

Our school participated in "Green up" day today. Our class was assigned our playground. We were surprised how much trash we found. We were a great clean up crew.

Happy Mother's Day!

Our class loved this song so much - probably because we really love our mothers. Enjoy these sweet voices and have a spectacular Mother's Day!

The Granny Awards play

We had a great time this afternoon watching the 4th, 5th and 6th grade students sing and dance in the wonderful play The Granny Awards. They all did an awesome job!
